Weight management service

Curaphyx offers a UK pharmacy weight-management service. This page explains how the service works so you can decide whether to start a consultation. It is not a shop listing for a named medicine.

A medicine is supplied only if a UK-registered prescriber decides it is appropriate for you. Listing by Curaphyx follows licensed product information and clinical review. This page is written to help you decide safely.

Who this service is for

This service is for adults who want clinical advice on weight management and may be considered for prescription treatment after assessment.

A clinician will consider your weight and height, medical history, other medicines, and whether a licensed treatment could be suitable. Wanting to lose weight is not, on its own, enough for a prescription.

This service is not suitable if you are pregnant, trying to become pregnant, or breastfeeding, unless a clinician tells you otherwise after a full review. Tell us about eating-disorder history, recent rapid weight change, pancreatitis, severe stomach or bowel disease, and all medicines and supplements you take.

How the Curaphyx service works

1. Complete a consultation questionnaire honestly.
2. Provide the identity and body-mass checks the clinic asks for.
3. A UK-registered prescriber reviews your information.
4. If treatment is not suitable, we will say so and will not supply a prescription medicine.
5. If treatment is offered, you receive clear instructions, follow-up, and the patient information for that product.

Dispatch happens only after clinical approval. Next-day delivery, where offered, applies to approved orders. It does not mean a medicine can leave the pharmacy before a prescriber has reviewed you.

What treatment may involve

Weight management is not only a medicine. Licensed prescription options, where used, sit alongside a reduced-calorie diet, more physical activity, and regular review.

A prescriber chooses if any medicine is appropriate, which licensed option, and which strength. That decision is individual. It is not made from a public product grid.

No outcome is guaranteed. Response, side effects, and how long treatment continues vary. Read the leaflet supplied with any medicine you are given.

When to get advice before you start

Ask a pharmacist or prescriber before starting a consultation if you:

• have a long-term condition, including diabetes, thyroid, gallbladder, kidney, or liver disease
• take other prescription or pharmacy medicines
• have had pancreatitis or serious digestive problems
• have a history of disordered eating
• are planning pregnancy

If you feel unwell after any treatment you have been prescribed, follow the patient information leaflet and seek medical help. For urgent symptoms, use NHS 111 or emergency services.

If you are not offered prescription treatment

That is a clinical decision, not a sales decision. You can still ask a Curaphyx pharmacist about pharmacy and general-sale weight-management products where they are appropriate, and about diet and activity advice.

Privacy and professional standards

Consultations are reviewed by named UK clinicians. Information is used to assess suitability and to supply medicines safely. Curaphyx is a UK-based pharmacy service. Packaging is discreet. Unused medicines should be returned to a pharmacy, not thrown away.
